Hey...still plenty of room on the bus!

Only the $50 deposit button remains because if you want to ride full fare or single legs, it's now $80 per leg. Or $160 for two. Or $240 for 3. Because I cannot guarantee single leg riders a place, I am only asking for a deposit. If you are wanting to ride 2 or more legs, please pay the deposit. I will then contact you via your paypal email address (and you should also email me on mingogo69@hotmail.com), explain more about the bus and send an invoice for the remaining amount.

All payments MUST be in by August 8th. After that, you may still be able to ride, but you will have to contact me direct. I must have payment to the company IN FULL by mid August. So if people do NOT get the money in by then, there won't be a bus to take last minute anyway, if you get my drift!

We have a core of 20 riders and the only leg that is filling up appears to be Akron to Muskegon. Hope y'all can join us!

Ride/Room share!

Folks....I've had numerous people sign up for the bus or get in touch with me about hoping to find someone to share a room with....or in some cases, a RIDE...which considering we have a bus may sound weird..but there are a lot of folk needing to get to Akron to START the journey. And even myself, after Indianapolis, I need to get to PA and then NJ before catching from flight from Newark back to the UK.

So, I propose that we all work together to help each other find rides and ways to save cash to see more Todd. I think it could turn into a bit of a mish-mash on trying to see who needs what, but I hope people will read posts and respond direct to folk. Once you have made a hook up, please REMOVE your comments so that people don't think you're still looking or still have something to offer.

The facebook wall page is probably a better way to find folk, but you can leave comments here if you don't want to facebook it. I think there are a lot of folk who will feel more comfortable dealing with "strangers" if they can "make a connection" on facebook - seeing interests and photos and all of that makes us feel a bit less wary of dealing with "strangers". I can't guarantee you won't hook up with a weirdo, but I've yet to have any scary bad experience with any fans through Todd yet in my early days. Life has risks, but I think since we're all hooked up, there is a lot of ways to make sufficient connections before actually embarking on relying on the kindness of strangers.

So...I need to get from Indianapolis to PA to NJ to Newark. I may have a friend travelling with me. I am still sorting out plans. So if there are other people in the same boat, leave a comment.

Share this info with EVERYONE. Together we can help each other and provide more joy in our lives. xx

Bus update...

People....still taking payments and it looks likely this bus will definitely happen and there should be plenty of room. Interest is good but not overwhelming.

The full fare riders are likely to be asked to pay $200 so that this bus can actually be paid for. At present, the bus will leave for Muskegon on Tue, Sept 7th now. If people are asked to pay $200, it is still a savings of $40 over the single legs option or option AFTER June 15th. If the higher price option happens, chances are from Muskegon to Indianapolis, full fare riders will have 2 seats and extra space to spread out. Most people I have spoken to prefer the extra $50 and extra elbow room.

But I will not approach people about paying that additional $50 until later in July when actual numbers and final payments to the bus company are imminent. If you have signed for the bus or are thinking you won't sign up because of the possibly additional cost, PLEASE CONTACT ME (mingogo69@hotmail.com). DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THIS, PLEASE.

It is still important to get your deposit in, particularly if you are wanting to pay for single trips because on some legs, particularly Akron to Muskegon, the bus is becoming more full.

Any other questions, PLEASE JUST ASK! We want this bus to happen, and it won't unless people support, spread the word, and discuss! IT SHINES LIKE LASER LIGHTS!!!

Payment can NOW be made

Alright....we finally have a payment structure!

Payment of a $50 "non"refundable deposit will secure your place on the bus in September from Akron to Muskegon to St. Louis to Indianapolis. Keep reading for further explanation...

At present, we are planning to leave Akron on Monday the 6th to head to Muskegon. That could change if a 2nd show were added, but the thinking behind this is that on Tue the 7th, the premier showing of the Toddstock DVD will be made in Muskegon...which I believe Todd is meant to attend! On the 9th, we head to St. Louis. On the 11th, we head to Indianapolis. and that is the END OF THE LINE.

More info about this tour is at www.sonsof1984.com. Ticket sales, hotel room discounts and much more up to date info can be found there so keep checking back!

How this works for the bus....If you are planning to use the bus, but don't have the money, you can pay $50. If you change yr mind, you lose your deposit. If we can't get you on the bus (no room, smaller bus option, change in schedule), we refund you the money. So it is a very low risk. But we NEED commitment for this to happen.

If you know you want to do the bus and want to SAVE MONEY, pay the full $150 now. That will get you transport passage to ALL shows listed above. After June 15th, a new payment structure will be announced, and anyone paying after will be paying more. It will probably be $80 per leg or $240 total.

However, IF you want to secure a place on the bus, you need to pay this deposit...even if it is for one leg. If we don't have enough interest, we will have to cancel the bus (again...you would receive your money/deposit back). The deposit you pay will be deducted from your final total. If you think you are only going to make 2 of the 3 journeys, it's still cheaper to pay the full $150 before June 15th.

If you are confused by this or have specific questions, reply to the blog or email me direct at mingogo69@hotmail.com. I am also on facebook as "Jill Mingo" or on the TR Connection, where there are threads about this. Rundgren Radio are fully aware of the bus and working in conjunction on this, but it is an independent venture (except, all of us fans are in this together, maaaan). It is not meant to be profit making. We will drop off at the venue and at Rundgren Radio-sponsored hotels. If there are other local hotels (within one mile) of the venue that people are staying at, we will definitely see if the driver will drop folks off. I am going to do my best to get a cool and possibly "Todd Friendly" driver.

I THINK we can drink on the bus (I will try to update everyone on that this week). There IS a restroom. There IS a DVD and CD. So it will be a Toddtastic way to enjoy our adventures in Utopia! Sharing with fans. Having a laugh. No responsibility. No parking fees. No one-way drop off rates! Just hop on and count the smiles!

Just to recap:
1. If you want to ride all or part of the journey, pay a "non" refundable deposit of $50 and secure a place! (if we run out of space, you get yr money back)
2. If you know you make full payment before June 15th, you will only pay $150 total!
3. If you want to pay per journey, it will be $80 per journey (subject to availability)

Initial bus info

Hello....as the dates have now been announced for Sept, I need to know what the REAL interest is for this. The bus is a 56 seater with restroom, DVD, CD...just basic transport. There is a qualified driver.

14/4: UPDATE: Proposed price could be higher...it really depends on the demand. However, I can't imagine it being higher than $200. If 25 people pay $200, we can still do this bus. Right now, our numbers are at about 18. And it's VERY early. So I still think this bus will be under $150 per person.

Proposed bus route is...
Sept 7 - leave Akron, head to Muskegon, MI (this may be Sept. 6th wth the Toddstock DVD debut party now happening on Muskegon on the 7th. We will announce that closer to the time)
Sept. 9 - leave Muskegon, head to St. Louis
Sept. 11 - Leave St. Louis, head to Indianapolis

Now on the 12th, if there is demand, we could try to get a return journey to Akron airport and Cleveland airport....if people think that is worthwhile.

We need 40 people to commit to this journey. Proposed price is $150 (not including return journey to Akron). This price is yet to be confirmed. Once we have 40 people who confirm to the full rate, we can add more people for lesser journeys and perhaps a lesser price. If we have 80 people, we will do a 2nd bus.

There will be a "non" refundable deposit for this - probably $50. This is to guard against people booking and cancelling. However, this will count towards the total cost of your trip. And if for some reason you had to cancel...we'd do our best to return the money ...we're not trying to rip you off. Just make sure all costs are covered.

Ideally, if the bus has more than 40 people on it, we may be able to give a rebate on the bus to the people who initially committed. This bus is just for transport...NOT for sleeping.

So if you could please reply to this message indicating
1. If you are planning to use this bus
2. If you would want return passage to Akron and/or Cleveland
3. If you would be travelling Akron to Indianapolis or if you would be wanting passage between only a couple of these cities (and if so, which ones)

It is likely payment will be done via paypal. I will confirm yr payment, and what number you are in your confirmation (people who pay deposit first will have first dibs on the bus, obviously). If you were to make a deposit but were say the 59th person to do it....we would refund your deposit as there would be no space left on the bus.

Thanks, everyone! And please consider going to the final two gigs on the 14th in PA and 15th in NJ! I will be doing those! It just became very expensive to book a bus for those last 2 shows!
